ECL 或發(fā)射極耦合邏輯
ECL主要是作為TTL的一個很好的替代品引入的。ECL電路可以非常迅速地改變狀態(tài),使其更適合高速數(shù)據(jù)傳輸。差分輸出的缺點之一是它們需要顯著更高的電源電流才能運行。ECL在使用過程中也使用負電源。當嘗試連接到正基電源設備時,這可能會帶來挑戰(zhàn)。

PECL輸出經(jīng)常用于高速時鐘分配電路。這是因為 PECL提供了高抗噪性、在長線路長度上驅動高數(shù)據(jù)速率的能力,以及由于大電壓擺幅帶來的良好抖動性能。然而,PECL需要高功耗才能運行,這是主要缺點。
LVPECL 為千兆以太網(wǎng)和光纖通道的使用提供了良好的基礎。LVPECL在電氣上類似于LVDS,但提供更大的差分電壓擺幅和略低的功率效率。LVPECL的輸出可能會出現(xiàn)挑戰(zhàn),因為發(fā)射電壓需要終止。此外,芯片中的差分電路可能具有不同的輸入容差。請務必檢查是否正確終止以獲得最佳性能。

CML具有與LVPECL相似的性能。這里的主要區(qū)別在于CML不需要外部偏差。這使得CML在低功耗成為問題時成為LVPECL的良好替代品。
低壓差分信號 (LVDS)
LVDS類似于LVPECL輸出,但LVDS的功耗更低,電壓波動也更小。LVDS通常用于滿足高速數(shù)據(jù)傳輸需求,例如時鐘分配或背板收發(fā)器。對于更高的數(shù)據(jù)速率,通常首選HCSL、CML或LVPECL,但它們比LVDS需要更多的功耗。其他好處包括降低對噪聲的敏感性,并且易于在 CMOS IC 中實現(xiàn)。
與 PECL相比,LVDS的一個缺點是其抖動性能降低,但正在研究新技術以實現(xiàn)與LVPECL相同水平的抖動性能。
